Woomera to Port Augusta.

A couple of days in Port Augusta are much appreciated, as it is quite civilised.
We were able to shop at Coles, Woolworths & Big W & stock up on some much needed supplies, refill an empty gas cylinder, rotate ute tyres & buy Diesel at less than $2.05 per litre
( $9.33 per gallon ) Topped off with a very nice evening meal at Ians' Western Hotel.
We have some current personal issues which may govern our future plans & travel directions, but we are basically starting to head for home indirectly. Tomorrow we head for Wilpena pound in the Flinders ranges.

Looking out over the arid desert country heading South from Woomera to Port Augusta.

A little texture in the landscape.

Water pipeline following the highway North toward Woomera.

The old & new road bridges over the inlet at Port Augusta.

We watched this dude try to launch this tinny for over half an hour, it had grown onto the rollers of the trailer, the car was in the salt water way too deep. When he finally got it in the motor wouldn't run properly.

The local lookout was an old steel water tank with holes cut in the side.

View from inside the water tank to the solar station tower at Port Augusta.

Port Augusta from the water tank, with the Flinders ranges in the back ground.

                                                                 Yvonne inside the tank.

                                                                            Inside the tank.

                                                                    Heading back down.
