We are at Ayres Rock, after spending a night on the banks of the Finke river at Glen Helen Gorge and another night at Curtin Springs on the way to Ayres Rock. Morning temeratures have been sub zero with crystal clear skies, so the heater we installed after the last trip has come into its own.

A solo cyclist we met & spoke with, she was just putting her tent up for the night, it must have been cold as it was well below zero.
