Its a long road to Coober Pedy

We arrived in Coober Pedy ( red dust capitol of the planet ) yesterday afternoon & today we will check out all things underground. Its very dry here, the dust has dust on it. The caravan park does not have water to the sites as it is very scarce but there is a coin operated water bowser where you can buy 40 litre lots of water.
The bikes are assembled & ready to rock & roll, we are off to the underground coffee shop for morning tea.

Smoko stop, at Mt Connor lookout.

Pano, salt lake near Mt Connor lookout.

                                                                           As above.

Bush camp on the border of South Australia & Northern Territory.

Yvonne straddles 2 states, left leg in Northern Territory, right leg in South Australia. The post above her head is the border line.

                                                              South Australia.

                                                                             Northern Territory.

                                                                Border camp cooking.

It was very cold, so we had a fire.

                                                                             A little later.

Pano, lunch the next day on the way to Coober Pedy. Getting a little desolate.

                                                               Passing a hill.

Its all red, even the road.

                                                         Blue, red & silvery green.

Many kilometres of these opal mine shafts, coming into Coober Pedy.
