A very relaxing couple of days spent here with great weather. A cycling tour of the town, which Yvonne was unable to do due to her foot.
Last night we went to the drive in, which has been operating continuously since 1966 & watched the double feature. I think this must be one of the the very few drive ins still operating in Australia.
Today G & W got their suspension fixed on their caravan, so we are all systems go for a departure in the morning, heading for Townsville where both Greg & Wendy were posted for some years.
There are many grand old buildings here in CT 'Gold City' a remnant from the gold rich past.
As above.
On the bikes heading back up the lookout hill. It was much steeper than it looks.
Arriving at the top.
Greg at the ruins of the old pyrites chimney.
There were some really nice new bike ways.
We rode out to the other side of town to the very large cemetery, where Greg was trying to find one of his relatives graves.
A statue.
